SpaceX landed its Falcon 9 rocket on the drone ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ at sea. This is the first time the company has been able to achieve a successful ocean landing, after four previous attempts ended in failure.

This is the second time SpaceX has successfully landed one of its rockets.

The ability to recover and reuse the expensive first stage will lead to significant cost savings as we continue to explore space.

Today’s attempt was the fourth time SpaceX had tried to land its Falcon 9 on a drone ship. All previous attempts that have resulted in fiery crash landings.
